Mission:

Inspire parishioners of St Patrick’s to reach out with acts of kindness to those in need and to help inform the parish community about social justice and the Corporal Works of Mercy.

The Corporal Works of Mercy are:

  •           Feed the Hungry
  •           Give Drink to the Thirsty
  •           Shelter the Homeless
  •           Visit the Sick
  •           Visit the Prisoners
  •           Bury the Dead
  •           Give Alms to the Poor

 

The Seven Themes of Catholic Social Teaching,  provided by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) are:

  •           Life and Dignity of the Human Person
  •           Call to Family, Community and Participation
  •           Rights and Responsibilities
  •           Option for the Poor and Vulnerable
  •           The Dignity of Work and the Rights of Workers
  •           Solidarity
  •           Care for God’s Creation

 

During 2020, the priorities of the Faith in Action committee will be addressing the needs of children and the poor/homeless.
